It doesn't matter when the account was closed only when your account first went delinquent and you didn't get caught up. This is calculated as usually 180 days before chargeoff. So if you have old credit reports from that time, you should look at when the delinquency date was as defined by the month that begins the first 30 day late. From there is the statute of limitations starts.
