A lot depended on if the credit card debt is individual or joint. If joint, you might be better of using federal exemptions, if individual, state exemptions protect your house.(tenants by the entirety) But will thye make me are only transportaion in it?????

STOP USING YOUR CREDIT CARD IMMEDIATELY. You can not selectively choose who you want to pay. You might have to give up that credit card, maybe get another one from your credit union after bk. If the debt is individual, only the indebted spouse need declare bk. You must reafirm your car payment (shouldn't be a problem)
I would advise waiting it out. Chances are very good that you will not be sued. Only one out of ten sued me. I filed bk when i was sued. BUT YOU MUST STOP USING CREDIT CARD. VERY VERY IMPORTANT. You can try waiting for the SOL four years ) years to pass. My strategy was to ignore collection agent phone calls. Do not apply for credit, change your phone number, better yet disconnect your phone number and have your mail forwarded to a PO Box. They will think you moved. Wait it out. They cannot do anything until they first get a judgement against you. If they get a judgement they can go after assets. You can be compelled to disclose your assets. Pa is a non garnishment state. IF YOU ARE SERVED WITH A LAW SUIT, DO NOT IGNORE IT. THAT IS THE TIME TO CALL THE ATTORNEY. Good Luck
