Hello, Short story. I received a letter from Revenue Recovery Corporation demanding $2624.05 in payment for surgery. To my understanding the bills were paid either by my insurance or by my daughters lawyer before she could get her settlement. Money went to her upon her 18th birthday, no one else.

Anyway the letter states THERE ARE OTHER METHODS OF COLLECTING UNPAID DEBTS THAN BY LETTERS OR TELEPHONE, AND WE WILL USE THEM, ETC. ETC.

I believe this to be a blatent threat in violation of the Fair debt collection act. My first impression is to send the certified return receipt letter saying cease and desist, etc. Do I have any legal recourse, here? To me it sounds like there going to send someone to my house in the middle of the night.

Thanks.
