I have a question regarding a settlement with MBNA.
I has two cards with MBNA for 24k each. One card was sent to the CA the other one I reached a setllement for 9k with MBNA which was paid and documented. I believe(my question) is the law states the CA cannot ask for more than the original creditor(MBNA) would settle which is 9k? I would like to settle for 9k and move on and just wanted to know any suggestion or if this is true?
