It is not really a good idea to settle with CAs. Can't trust anything they say. They will lie and threaten. They will do whatever they can to scare you into paying. it does not help credit report to pay CAs. Actually, keeps negative on credit report much longer.
Are you sure these accounts are within the SOl in your state? Have you actually been sued. If you have not been sued, but are reacting to a threat of being sued, don't bite. It is just a threat, and chances are very good that it is ONLY a threat.
