Wish I could tell you what to do pro se but if the court order the investment house already had was good enough to liquidate the account, chances are that without a lawyer, the result will be the same. How many lawyers in your town have you actually asked about fees? It may not be as expensive as you think. It's definitely less expensive than getting thousands of bucks sucked out of the account.
