I'm in Virginia as well. I received a copy of the summons from my creditors attorney via mail about 2 weeks in advance of an actual third party server serving me officially. You can check with the courts in your town to see if it has been filed. The link below will take you to the courts section, you choose the city. Click on civil, and choose active cases, type in your last name and it shows all open cases with that name. Good Luck.
