Hopefully this can get the ball rolling...

I'll also be calling that attorney that Scott referred me to today.

Thanks all for your help!

I have been receiving harassing phone calls at my work, asking me to pay $10,000 in the next ten days or I will be sued. I have also received a letter from them, stating that if my account is not paid in 10 days it will be reported to all credit bureaus. This debt is well past the statute of limitations for debt collection. It is a Discover Card charge-off from 1997. The SOL in my State for legal action is 4 years. Also, the original Discover Card trade line has dropped off of all my credit reports, since it has now been 7 years, per FCRA statute. Federal Pacific has intentionally re-aged this account by reporting a newer date of last activity, therefore extending the time remaining for the credit reporting agencies to report this as derogatory. They are intentionally and maliciously damaging my credit by reporting false dates of activity to credit bureaus. I wish to prosecute Federal Pacific for blatant violations of the FCRA.
