FDCPA violations?

I recently received an initial collection letter on a debt that just charged off, from Imperial Collection Services, based in Concord, CA (anybody dealt with them before?). I also live in CA. It has mostly the standard boilerplate to it, except there is a line it that reads "The law does not require us to wait until the end of the thirty (30) day period before suing you to collect this debt." Veiled threat (FDCPA violation) or just tough wording?
