By FDCPA and probably your state collection law, Cohen & Slamowitz had to sue you either in the court district where you live or in the court district where you signed the contract. Since you've lived in the same place 30 years, I'd guess that would be your home court. If there's a website for that court, see if you can search for cases or judgments under your name, and if not, get thee over there Monday morn and ask the clerks how to look for such stuff. If you get the documents from your bank and find out they filed anywhere else, doom on them.

Really, I must cop some Zs now, it's been a long hard day fighting EEEE-vill. But it's a good kind of tired.
