Everything they do is illegal so don't worry about them sueing.

If I had it to do again: send one C&D CRRR and one regular mail. (they won't accept CRRR) when the CRRR one gets sent back save it. unopened. then wait for them to start violating the FDCPA. every time they violate document it and send a complaint to FTC.

I am thinking of push my complaint against them up a notch to ID theft. with a police report and all. My argument is that ID theft is the only mechanism that forces there criminal actions to be taken seriously by the law.
