You are right that no matter what you do you lose the arb anyway. In my case, I didn't respond at all because I didn't know what it was. I thought arbitration was for labor disputes. I did a lot of research and this board was the most helpful.
I am being sued at the present time because they are trying to turn the award into a judgement. I have hired an attorney because there is no way can do this myself. He has filed a motion to dismiss the arbitration. I have to attend(with my attorney, of course) a case hearing scheduled for early June. We'll see what happens then. Tell me how did your attorney make it all go away?
