have you disputed with the CRAs? (pardon, i slept since the original post, lol) then go back to the OC and get a proper address for credit disputes..they actually have diff addresses for those..and dispute as reporting inaccuractely. good luck cause its a bi***ch. this is another way they ruin you for not paying. also, add a statement to your report as to why you dispute this. all of them allow that. i am doin this with several now..and all i can say is...if you think you have patience...this will show you the real meaning of it. if it indeed is sold and not assigned...providian has no right to put it there anymore..it should show..correctly...charged off 0 balance..and then the current CA can show the balance due and acquired date of account. dispute with the OC and CRA both.
