First of all, you already have a judgement against you. Too late to ask for validation. Also, the judgement is in Virginia, and you live in Alabama. The party that was awarded the judgement are the only ones that can legaly execute on the judgement and they can only do that if they follow legal procedure to execute in Alabama. They do have a judgement, therefore they can seize bank account without warning. (if they have followed legaly procedure to execute in Alabama) Now that they know where you live, that legal process could be in the works. So, PROTECT YOUR BANKING INFO. If they seize your bank account, it could make checks bounce and cause a real mess with penalities. I am not sure if it is possible to negoiate on a judgement, I kind of don't think so because a judgement means that they have the legal right to collect the entire debt and they can seize assets. They really don't have any incentive to bargain with you. Since you are worried about this, maybe you need to consult with an attorney.
www.naca.com. Also, it will cost money to execute that judgement in Alabama. So, it is possible that they will tack on legal fees too the judgement. I think you need to do one of two things. Either hire an attorney, or just let it be and see what happens. You could get yourself into a pickle if they know you are worried and vulnerable. The collection industry is pretty harsh. Good Luck
