Here is my dilimma. I made a doctor visit 2 years ago and had some work done. They filed the papers with the insurance comapany and the insurance company paid what they thought was approiate.

I never received a invoice from the doctor till two year later. I called the clinic where he worked and they said yes, his wife used to do his billing and she failed to bill a bunch a people. Now this doctor no longer works at this clinic or even in this state (AR) the clinic want the money. I first ignore them and didn't make payment well they did turn me over to a credit agency. I explained my situation and they said sorry I still owe the money send it within 30 days. I then disputed the claim. They have since sent me a record showing some charges some insurance payment but not the whole bill...meaning it does not show what the whole procedure cost and what all has been paid by insurance etc..

My question is this..I know I more than likely owe the money, but our company no longer uses this insurance comapny because of hassles with them paying claims in the amount they should have. We would file they would make payment then we could dispute and refile an they would pay some more. Well since I never received an invoice I never knew to try and squeeze more money out of them and now we use someone else so there is no recourse.

What are my options if any. I have outstanding credit and don't want a mark on it yet to bill me two years later and it not come from that doctor is very odd. I know the time limit for AR is 3 years so they legally have the right to bill me. What else can I do if anything.

Thanks for any input
