OK, the way I understand it, if your spouse is primary, they won't find it because he/her social security will be the one associated with the account. When I did my bk, all bank accounts came out of my name because it was my husband's money. Not that we had very much in there anyway!! If you can put it in your spouses nme only and feel comfortable with that, I think it is the best thing to do. Then, they absolutely can not touch it.
