Yes indeed, send another letter ASAP, to the FTC, however, and not to these fakes, phonies, frauds and shams. Threatening to call your supervisor at work is an illegal threat, hopefully, you saved the tape. Make a copy, send this to the FTC, preemptively attack these cat-box cretins, chop off their ding-toed legs while they're on the horizon, far from your property.
Forget about 'affidavit of complaint'. This is classic criminal projection, they're the ones obligated to file affidavits attesting to validity of exhibits, not you. Do not call them. Screen your calls, copy tapes, send to FTC immediately.
As to Certified letter, you at least should have proof of mailing. If letter didn't make it, file complaint these two-bit prevaricators ducked letter, a point of evidence against them, for you.
In my family situation, an elderly relative had his estate taken by intra-familial spirochetes, aided by a crook-poofter lawyer. One of their trademarks is ducking certified letters. They don't refuse them, just pretend they're missing in action, beyond reach. Sure. Right. With a published business address, just like the geeks in your situation. With apologies to geeks fine and respectable everywhere.
The greaseballs with the 'bigga bigga catering business, with bigga bigga delivery trucks with bigga bigga tires', in reality a bunch of fourflushers whose idea of food is stuffing goat colons with dog doot, used my relative to lay off federally backed loans to the tune of a million or three, are legendary for ducking certifieds. Stupid is as stupid does, they send General mail copy to my elderly relative, beg him to make me stop writing letters. Why? Truth hurts, isnt' that right, greaseballs? Elderly relative sends letter to me, with telling remarks written upon it. Good evidence. For me. Against greaseballs. They were the small time cons. Big cons include an HMO, an Ivy League University renowned as a day care center for bratty whelps of rich nitwits.
In your case, look for CRRS letter to turn up, either they'll sign for it, or it might be included in some bogus court filing. Lay low, document everything, file lotsa FTC complaints. Call FTC in morning, follow up by mailing copies of your evidence, tapes included.

Evidentially,

Keyser Soze
