We received notification from the county assessors office that a lien had been filed on our home. I did not get a copy of the filed lien from the court house.

Do you know the answer to my other question:

1)IF they have a lien on your home can they also freeze your bank accounts? I'd love to be able to ignore this and not worry about paying the lien unless we sell the house! It seems to me that if they have the lien on the house - for the entire debt amount - how can they go after other assets? Seems like double-dipping or something of that nature. ;-)

I might seem slow here but - this so called attorney's office, that received the default judgement, is actually a CA? Or is it a attorney who just does this kind of scum work?

You are being very patient and, again, thank you.
