I think you are being scammed by a collection agency. The ONLY documents "under seal" which MIGHT have a somewhat longer SOL in SOME States, are those relating to real estate transactions or other VERY LARGE transactions. What State are you in,and WHO and in what form is this so called "threat" of legal action from?
