Ok..I'm not one to be litigious, but this one takes the cake.

If the case was dismissed over a year ago for being beyond the SOL, the matter has been decided! They CANNOT sue you again for that same debt and get away with it, regardless of Citibank taking over the account.

Get an attorney, because you can countersue the living daylights out of them for filing a frivolous lawsuit, amongst other things. I won't even go into all the violations they've committed.

Go to the courthouse and they will be able to give you a copy of your old paperwork. It's filed away and they may charge you a pittance to retrieve it...but it'll be there.

And get a consumer attorney. Why Chat's web site has some good links. An attorney can make both of you a bit of pocket change.
