I hired a bankruptcy attorney, prepared the paperwork just in case. When the CA called I refer them to him and he handles the calls. It has been almost two years and my debt is larger than yours, have not filed yet !!! He advised me what to do financially in case I do have to file and we have handled every obstatcle so far without filing. My income is around $60K......my goal is to reach SOL which is only a year away ! This service cost me about $1000 but has been worth it !! Just my 2 cents.
