You can't get a "public defender" in civil cases.Legal aid MIGHT help, but I doubt it.

In these cases it is best to do it pro-se, (defend yourself) you will get more help from the Court that way.

If you go to my website, and look for the link "How To Answer A Lawsuit" and read ALL the material from the NW Justice link that is in there, you will get a better idea of how to proceed.

It is a good idea to claim SOL, EVEN if you think you are within it, as this FORCES the plaintif to produce PROOF of exactly when it defaulted.
