Do you mean the bk (chapter 13) was dismissed? The SOL starts from the date of the first 30 day deliquency in most states. Usually about 6 months prior to charge off. You are in a debtor friendly state. They can't touch your homestead and they can't garnish your wages. Primary target in Texas is your bank account. Protect your banking info NOW. Don't wait. If they can convince a judge that you will remove your money from the bank account in order to avoid paying a debt, they CAN get a court order to freeze your bank account BEFORE judgement. If you have ever paid the original creditor with your current checking account, close the account and open a new account with someone else as primary (if possible) and go to a different bank. PROTECT BANKING INFO. NEVER LET A CA GET YOUR BANKING INFO.
