during my friends BK,,sears showed at the hearings. not mean , of course, with the trustee right there. she stayed during the first 2 cases,,took back the things she could..ie..tv..refrig..and left so the pm cases kept their things. who knows. if they show..they show. if not..you keep the stove. they cant stop it..nor be mean. they cant even contact you except thru your attorney. if you show cause, why you used it..its prolly ok. the hearing was scary..but not really. quite fast..ours in a room with others altho diff states do it diff..he asked was this true and was this..we said yes..fine. bye. signed and discharged a few months later. cautioned us to not have any money..ie..insurance..lotto..lol..or the BK will take it in so many months after. not scary..not bad at all. the lawyer does the talking..and all you do is yes, sir. others there we could hear and see..was a old lady with medical bills..(sad)..a divorcee whose ex's lawyer was there bitching at every penny.(she was unhappy -you could tell).a old couple who lost their trucking business and the bank showed up and spent time asking where everything was and making plans to pick up the collateral. no one can be mean..its a court thing. sometimes sears comes for their things..sometimes they dont. what a dumb thing to do, imho*. dont sweat it..its not bad at all. so at worst they take the stove./.and you rent another. shrug ..done that too. lol. they cant stop a thing..alls they can do is get ya stove. i doubt the judge would let that happen. dont have any money in a savings tho. best of luck to you!
