A collection agency bought my deliquent credit card account in 1999. I made no contact/payment with them /to them. The original creditor is no longer on any of my credit reports due to the 7 year statute on the report of first deliquency date. Transunion refuses to remove this collection agency from my report despite the fact the original creditor has been removed (who they refuse to accept as the original creditor). I was told the collection agency account was valid and would remain. Transunion told me I could no longer dispute it but just attach a statement to my report. So in essence, this collection agency could sell it to another collection agency and the nightmare would never end. Why won't Transunion acknowledge this? Please help!!!!
