Midland is using lawyers that are local to my area (IN). I have requested validation from them and still have received nothing, my court rescheduled my hearing to a date that I am unavailable because I disputed the claim, but they said that it wasn't a problem and that I should just mail the court a letter and request a new date, and she said they always give new dates. Hopefully Midland will wise up and call off this suit, if not I am ready to fight them. By the way, I also filed a complaint with my AG against Midland, for one I don't even think they are licensed/bonded here which is a state statute, plus when I first heard from them they used profanity and accused me of committing credit card fraud. My AG informed me they are investigating Midland and will let me know Midland's response. I told the AG the whole story about them suing me and they are offering their help so I am accepting it!

Good luck and lets stay in touch about this midland stuff, from what I understand they are one of the bottomest bottom feeders around.
