Maybe in a divorce situation its an 'equal division' state, but CO is NOT community property. Her debts are HER debts, not yours as far as creditors and credit reports are concerned.

You might want to consider having all your mail routed to a Mailboxes ETc sort of thing so that YOU can control what mail goes into the house. She won't be able to get at the mail and hide things and you can filter out incoming credit card offers. You also should get her opted out of all 'pre-approved' card offers. YOU could do this by writing letters to the bureaus rather than using the phone where they'd KNOW its not her.

AS already noted, your wife needs help with her problem, find a Shopper's Anonymous group and get her to it.
