good question. i have recently run into the same situation..here is a number to call this man is very helpful...william haynes 202-326-3224...personally on the accounts dating back 5 years i would say forget it dont pay on the other hand collection agencys just want money..tell them you will pay them but you want a letter stating they will not report you to any credit bureaus.also iam almost 90 percent sure collection agencys can not re start the clock..have anymore questions email me
