Try FL Dept. of Health, for a start, and state insurance regulators.

A coincidence, 20/20 or Dateline (?)tonight featured 'ePeCo' or similarly named company. EpeCo took 'health premiums' from small biz owners, then stiffed their claims.

In typical post-scumbag-nineties fashion, the company defended itself, saying they never 'transacted insurance'; which would have bound them under state law. Instead, they only offered 'health benefits'. And left one couple hanging for over a million dollars of hospital bills which they guaranteed would be covered.

My my my, how the story changes between sales pitch and claim filing. Another 'gift' from the 1990's.

Now, we'd expect this from some unheard-of scammer. But Blue Cross?

Now that you mention it, this worthless scribe was denied medical treatment this week, by a doctor's orifice who claimed a bill was owed from 2000. Back then, I had Blue Cross coverage, which should have paid this in full....Hmmm......

Hummingly,

Keyser Soze
