KMK said it all- they must first get a judgment. That means they have to file a case, go to court, get a judgment- Oh, did I mention you get to confront your accuser? You also get to file motions, etc. If they get a judgment, then they have to wait 30 days to do anything. Then, they have to go to the courthouse, pay a filing fee, pay the sheriff and then give you 30 notice to contest. In my state, the process of filing for garnishment is over $200 so it hardly seems worth the trouble. BTW, that is not Mia posting- some troll crawled up from under the bridge and stole her identity.
