I received the following notice from Alegis Group:
"Sherman Acquisition, LP has purchased the above account from previous creditor. Sherman Acquisitions has placed account with this agency for collection. Sherman Acquisition has advised us that interest will continue to accure as provided for in your agreement with the original credit grantor." Etc. Etc. From their website, I gather Alegis is a subsidiary of Sherman Acquisition.

A collector from the Alegis Group has been calling me. Because he has been so rude and confrontational with me, I absolutely refuse to talk to him. I want to pay the debt but I need to make arrangements to do so and I don't want to do anything via phone and I don't want to work with the jerk that's been calling.

What kind of letter do I need to write to set up arrangements and NOT work with this particular guy? Any help appreciated. Balance as reported by Alegis is $4300. ANY AND I MEAN ANY HELP APPRECIATED. Also, they have an e-mail address for customer service and account info. Should I correspond with them via e-mail?
