Credit Union Charges??

The CU i belonged to closed my account for NSF. Fine. they originally said i owed them $118, so i paid them. Now they say I owe them $180, cuz i supposedly made a deposit for $20 (at at service center) and wrote down $200 on 11/28/01. I know they are wrong so i wrote them a letter and asked them to send me proof of this, well they sent me a copy of an email, basically a print out from the service center, but not a copy of the actual deposit (the check) are they required to prove this or do i have to pay them from a emailed printout??
