One thing I have learned from reading all of these posts is that "debt counseling" (LOL) is really not a good thing (thank you Lord for not allowing me to listen to my wife when she recommended CCCS!). Here's a hypothetical: debtor becomes delinquent in 1998, signs up for CCCS in 1999, makes arranged payments on time, something happens - debtor can't fulfill agreement, drops out of program a year later, becomes delinquent again, account charges off, yada yada yada. Question: Is the SOL on this debt "reset" when one enters CCCS and does it "reset" again if the account becomes delinquent the second time or does the ORIGINAL SOL stand irregardless? My wife and I are having a discussion on why it is NOT a good idea to turn to CCCS, she thinks it's great! (LOL).
