Execuition for collection

I just receieved a letter in the mail from the Sheriff. It says they hold a Execution for the collection of money judgement aganst me for 11k. I have never been to court on this or been notified to be in court because of this. It says to get in touch with them on it. It also says if I fail to contact them they will come see me. This bill is over 3 years old. I live in NC. Whats the deal with this letter? Anybody know?
