Victoria , having good credit in todays world is really a must so my suggestion if your credits in good shape yet is to POSSIBLY get a second job to pay down the cards for maybe 6 - 12 months with ALL that extra income going towards those bills than see where you stand from there .. sure bankruptcy is always there IF NEEDED but in my opinion thats a last last last course route becouse yes its not the stigma it once was maybe 10 - 20 yrs ago but its still very tough for the 1st few years after the BK route .. just for your info. the NEW BK LAWS may be changing by may 2003 so if you file id do it before than but in the mean time it does give ya that 6 - 7 on that extra job income to see how it goes 1st .. good luck , kelly ........
