I'm the retired wife. I started getting harassing phone calls last week. One is recorded and simply leaves an 800 number. New one started with probably a fake name. On second day I told him to desist with sales/solicitation calls. He of course nastily tells me my husband owes money, then starts fishing around. Asks if this is his SS# - it was not. Asks if this is his address - it was not. Then just asks about the next address on his list for my husband's name and it was correct. I didn't answer. My husband has a very common name. I had my husband call the 800 numbers and he told them that was not his SS#. Now obviously they are not going to believe anyone that calls in and says "no, this is not my SS#'. So how are we going to stop this? Why haven't we recieved anything via mail asking for money? How are we going to prove they are harassing the wrong person? I'm ready to have a heart attack.
