I was sent the same offer and agreed to it as long as they deleted the old charged off account. I was re-assigned a new account number, so i tlooks like I never had a charge off from Capital One. My debt was only one year old, so I didn;t have the SOL on my side. I would have never done this deal unless they had agreed to remove the old debt from all 3 credit bureaus. (get that in writing!) It was a positive thing for me.
