Maryland repo question

When does the sol start on my car repo in Maryland? Does it start the time they repo the car, sell the car, or what if they charged off the acct. before they repoed the car? What if they only have a PO Box address for me? Should I give them my home address? Was it better for me to voluntarily let them repo the car or let them find me? Can the originally collector call me at work or is there something I can do about this? Thank you so much for any info. you can provide. There are so many loopholes to certain credit laws that I don't know how to decipher them.
