I could almost guarantee you that Chase made NO calls to AMEX. AMEX is notorious for dropping you like a hot potato if they see ANYTHING negative on your credit report and they do regular account reviews (pulling your credit report). AMEX has a zero tolerance for negative entries, no matter who posts them. As Observer said.. all creditors do regular AR's of your credit report, but they don't all do it every month.
