The reason so few sites show the Ohio SOL for open accounts, is the same reason your lawyer, and any others are confused.

The Ohio statutes confer the 4 year SOL on open ended accounts by a process of elimination, rather than inclusion.

If you read the Ohio RISA, which is also linked on my website, you will see why credit card open ended accounts are not included in the 6 year UCC SOL for "store accounts".

The e-debt network and other collection agency industry websites list the SOL as 4 years, because they are responsible for giving accurate information to their clients, the collection agencies.
