Hi, I live in NY, and my husband was contacted by CAMCO recently regarding a debt from 1990. We are 99% sure this debt was discharged through Bankruptcy he filed in 1991, just waiting for the papers from the lawyer to confirm. What recourse can we take against these people? My husband told him not to call anymore about a debt that is 13 years old, let alone gone through the BK, and this idiot said he will call him everyday if he chooses. Very aggravating. Once I get the BK papers, I will send to them to prove it's discharged. But I would like to take further action against companies like this that intimidate people over the phone.
