Thanks for replying! The only part that I admitted to was that I was a citizen and resident and of legal age and under no legal disability, everything else I denied. I didn't list any defenses, but I did requst that the lawsuit be dismissed and that a judgment be entered against the plaintiff for any set-off, costs or attorney's fees. To file an objection to the motion what reasons would I list? Can I request the court for a hearing? Should I try to send an offer of settlement to at least try to get a lower amount? By his cover letter saying "This communication is from a debt collector..." does that mean that Citibank DID sell it to RMA and then it went to Bernhardt?
