I don't know what state you are in. In the California Superior Court system, your case would be considered a "limited Civil action." Is your Court online? My Civil case has the scanned documents pertaining to the case. That said, you need to get a case number and go down to the Clerk's Office and get a copy of your complete file. Yes, you have been sued. Get a hold on the file, before you worry about debt validation.
