A 10yr employee stopped paying on his credit card in Feb 2001, he has been getting calls from Sherman Aquisition about his $3000 balance...he says that they would accept $1500 and clear his debt. I spoke to the collection contact (very agressive guy) and wanted to get something in writing from them, they faxed me over his referance# etc. Before I try to settle for him i.e. advance him the money how do I get assurance the they will settle for less than the original amount? will they send something stating the debt is paid?
Thanks for any advice!
Good Boss
