MBNA Attorney Letter - Is this validation?

I'm in Alabama, I have an account charged off from MBNA. A lawyer from Fla. sent me thre copied pages...one of last full payment to MBNA in 2001, one of last payment to the CA before I found out I was paying CACV and one showing no payment but added charges. Nothing to show that I owe CACV (whom the attorney works for) any money is in the letters. I did send C&D and validation letters - is this considered validation?

Now the attorney's office is calling to 'see if I got the letter'.

What's the purpose of the letter?
