Well now - I just did a license search in the State of Illinois and turns out that Asset Acceptance, L.L.C. is NOT registered as a Collection Agency in the State of Illinois. This is interesting. Now I have to reread my CR and the lawsuit they filed and see if it says anywhere that they are a collection agency. I know they say they are "assignees" which is something different but they contradict that in their Affidavit. Woo woo - this is getting more fun by the day.
