You can use the SOL letter from my website, and, if they are reporting, follow it usp with the CRA dispute letter,to which I would suggest you add an additional dispute as "obsolete" Requesting validation, i.e. proof of the claim and citing all the FDCPA statutes etc. may have the same effect of getting them to stop trying to collect, however, in my opinion, unless you dispute the claim legally, all you will do is get it sent to another CA further down in the muck. You should also opt out.
