what's the point in automated phone calls?

I'm still getting calls everyday, 7days a week, from a Jack Grossman, 888 #, asking me to call back.It's an automated call-recording, and you have to call them back with the # they give you. I called back ONCE and found out it was Encore who was given my account.(3rd ca to have this account in less than 6months) What's the point of doing all this? Who in their right mind is going to call them back everyday? LOL
On second thought, maybe I should call that number EVERYDAY, a FEW TIMES A DAY, and maybe they'd leave me alone? Free call and take up THEIR TIME..what do ya think?
