sorry to say..you got screwed. key words "your account with them is settled". they just sold the rest to someone else. settling must be carefully worded to protect your ass...to be blunt..or you get screwed. settled on a report is as bad as not paid..or CO..and only the OC can change how they report theirs and they aint gonna do that once its sold. its stuck there..now a settled is stuck there..and now your stuck for the rest, too. do not settle without good advice on how to word a letter. you fell for a classic line and im sorry you did. the OC isnt gonna change a thing.
