THE AGENT TOLD YOU WHAT!!!! That is completely illegal!! File a complaint with your State Insurance Commission and Dept. of Consumer services. You should have received a notice in writing as to the reason for your increase (with NO specific private credit information)and the name of the credit reporting agencies to contact for your FREE reports. As to the "quote" you got-- did he have your drivers license # and ss# ?
